From the manufacturer
Our best-selling NAS gets an upgrade
What’s different?
DS925+ is built for robust performance and flexibility, meeting advanced storage, backup and collaboration needs. Dual native 2.5GbE ports deliver high-speed, multi-user access and reliable data transfers, ideal for mixed storage and backup workflows.
SMB3 Multichannel delivers 5GbE transfer through a single connection, doubling the speed of the individual ports. This is especially valuable when working with large files, such as high-resolution video, audio or RAW photography. In the event of a partial outage such as a switch malfunction or disconnected cable, the system will failover automatically and continue transferring through the remaining port at the default 2.5GbE speed.
When SSD cache makes perfect sense
Utilize M.2 NVMe SSDs to create an SSD cache when your workload involves frequent access to small, random files or repeated read/write operations.
- Deploying multiple containers
- Scrolling through large photo collections
- Running a file server with relatively small files accessed concurrently
When you need more speed
Utilize SATA 2.5″ SSDs for primary storage when you need hot-swappable capability in situations where uptime is essential, such as database storage.
- Enable remote access to your files, or keep everything local and offline
- Improve efficiency by adding SNV3000 or SNV5000 series M.2 SSDs without sacrificing a drive bay
- Upgradable ECC RAM ensures error-free, reliable performance under heavy workloads
- Add an extra five drive bays at any time with the DX525 expansion unit
- Use built-in tools to back up data on PC, Mac, Linux, mobile devices and cloud services
- Deploy a hybrid cloud to scale storage capacity seamlessly via Synology C2 cloud
